International Focus

One of our desires is to make an impact in the lives of people in other parts of the world. We will support the spread of the Gospel in other parts of the world but we have chosen to have an international focus on one country.

On July 9, 2011 South Sudan became an independant state. Because of our unique relationship with Every Village, we have chosen the country of South Sudan as our international focus.  This means we will support the work of the Gospel in South Sudan through prayer, giving and sending people to advance the Kingdom of God.

Misson

The mission of Hope Church's South Sudan Ministry is to enable the strategic and international spread of the gospel and community development in South Sudan.

Statistics

1. South Sudan is the world's newest nation.

2. South Sudan is about the size of Texas, with only around 50 miles of paved roads.

3. The literacy rate in South Sudan is estimated to be less than 1%, and very few have any clear knowledge of the Gospel.

How you can help

It is always challenging for a group in the States to engage in tangible ministry for South Sudan. Prayer is the primary emphasis, but there are other ways to support our work there. You can join with us by giving to Hope Church, supporting Every Village events or by going on trips each year. Additionally, it is our deep desire to raise up, support and send long term missionaries to South Sudan. If the Lord begins moving your heart in that direction, we are ready to support that calling!

Home Groups are the primary vehicle for missions at our Hope Church. Each Group is active in both prayer and tangible ministry efforts for the South Sudanese people. You can email to get more information on how to get connected with a Home Group.
